About Wallace Yovetich
Hi there, I’m Wallace Yovetich. I provide non-clinical, neurodiversity-affirming parent education and facilitated support for families navigating school systems, services, and home life.
I work with parents who want thoughtful support, clearer understanding, and a steadier footing as they navigate complex systems while caring for their children.
My approach centers respect, curiosity, and practical insight. It draws on years of hands-on involvement with parents, lawyers, collaboration with educators and service providers, and a deep familiarity with the practical realities families face in educational settings. I focus on helping parents understand systems, ask better questions, and make informed decisions.
I work from a respect-based, neurodiversity-affirming perspective that centers understanding, relationship, and practical problem-solving. In addition to systems navigation, I also support parents in understanding regulation, stress, and nervous system responses — both their own and their children’s — in accessible, non-clinical ways.
This work is educational and supportive in nature and does not include therapy, diagnosis, or medical or behavioral treatment.
I am an Independent Facilitator for California’s Self-Determination Program with Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center, and am currently in the vendorization process to offer SDP facilitation services to East LA Regional Center and San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center.
HOW I HELP
Parents often come to me when they feel overwhelmed, unsure where to start, or exhausted from trying to hold many systems at once.
In our work together, I help families:
• Understand school systems, special education processes, and planning pathways
• Prepare thoughtfully for meetings and organize priorities with clarity
• Make sense of Regional Center, IHSS, and related services
• Serve as an Independent Facilitator (IF) within the Self-Determination Program (SDP), developing workable budgets, spending plans, and coordinated supports
• Clarify next steps when decisions feel complex or uncertain
• Strengthen confidence in asking informed questions and advocating effectively
• Learn practical, respectful approaches to regulation and family stress
My role is not to direct or prescribe solutions. It is to bring steadiness, systems knowledge, and thoughtful structure so families can make informed decisions that align with their values and capacity.
EXPERIENCE
I bring a background in education and parent advocacy, with years of hands-on experience supporting families navigating school systems, services, and planning processes.
My work includes collaboration with parents, educators, and service providers, along with ongoing continuing education in neurodiversity-affirming frameworks, family systems, and parent education.
I am also an experienced facilitator of parent groups, with a focus on creating spaces that support shared learning, thoughtful discussion, and practical insight.
